Limited-Edition, Single-Origin Jamaica Blue Mountain® Coffee Debuts at Select Starbucks Locations
This rare and exceptional coffee is grown by farmers in the St. Andrew, St. Thomas and Portland Blue Mountain regions of the eastern most part of the beautiful island of Jamaica. The unroasted coffee is shipped in iconic wooden barrels rather than burlap bags. Grown at elevations up to 5,000 feet, the terrain, soil, rainfall and Blue Mountain mist create the ideal conditions for quality coffee, resulting in a balanced coffee with mild citrus notes, a smooth milk chocolate finish and an intense aroma. Jamaica Blue Mountain® has only been offered twice in Starbucks history.

illy X7 iperEspresso Machine
Combining state-of-the-art technology with strikingly good looks, this easy-to-use espresso machine produces cafe-quality espresso, cappuccino, and other favorite coffee drinks from the comfort of home. Simply insert an Illy coffee capsule, which contains a 7-gram serving of pre-ground and tamped espresso, and the machine takes care of the rest–no need to learn how to measure, grind, or tamp. The unit provides a unique two-stage brewing process that ensures smooth, full-bodied and intensely aromatic coffee with long-lasting crema. First, the machine pierces the capsule, and then it injects hot water under ultra-high pressure into the grounds for optimal, uniform brewing conditions. The second stage forces coffee through a valve at the bottom of the capsule, mixing the espresso with air to produce a long-lasting layer of golden crema. Choose from dark roast, medium roast, and decaf capsules.

Extreme Coffee -- Sumatra
September 2007 It's the most exotic, rare and expensive coffee in the world. Kopi Luwack which comes from the dung of the Common Palm Civet or Luwack is so rare some believe it doesn't exist. Much of the coffee which can sell for more than $50 dollars a cup in New York, Hong Kong or Tokyo has been cut or is simply fake. The ABC's foreign affairs editor Peter Cave is a coffee lover who has been seeking the real thing for many years, so he headed to the mountains of Sumatra to track down the exotic brew and sample it with the farmers who collect the civet dropping from the forest floor and who are experimenting with taming and domesticating the increasingly endangered Luwak.
